Jumping back into a clean car is great. Lingering smells are replaced by air fresheners, while crumbs and debris are banished; for a short while at least! To help keep your car in peak condition for longer, make sure you follow these simple cleaning tips!

Line your cup holders with cupcake liners

Cup holders seem to be a magnet for debris and other clutter, and it can be hard to keep this area from piling up with rubbish. A simple solution is putting a cupcake liner into the cup holder which will collect the small pieces of rubbish and once you get a sizeable amount of dirt in there, simply pick it up and replace it with a fresh one.

Pet hairs everywhere

We all love our pets coming along for a ride, however it can be annoying when their hair is lingering once they’ve jumped out. A great way to get rid of this is to fill a spray bottle with water and spray this over the areas with hair on. Then you just wipe away with a squeegee or any other flat, smooth rubber bladed device. You’ll be amazed at how effective this is.

Dirty windscreens

If your window wipers seem to be on their last legs, try wiping them with rubbing alcohol before swapping them out! Next for the inside of the windscreen, apply some shaving foam and then wipe clean, this can help to stop them steaming up. Remember, this isn’t a permanent fix and should be repeated regularly to maximise results!

Get in between the crevices

One of the hardest areas to get is the crevices between the seat and centre console, here’s an easy tip to get into this pesky spot! Wrap a cloth or rag around a small screwdriver and use this to expose the unwanted dust, crumbs and rubbish and make it easier for your vacuum to extract it!
