The Summer is here and you’re off on your travels but make sure you’re prepared and as ready as you can be to hit the road.

Oil and tyre checks

Make sure you have made all the necessary checks on your car including your oil levels and your tyre treads. These are two key things to check but before you set off, it is always a good idea to do a thorough once over of your vehicle before you head out on a long trip. Other checks to make would be your windscreen wiper fluid, aircon and of course, how much fuel you have in the tank.

Cleaning out the car

If you’re going to be in the car for a prolonged period of time, you want to be comfy and not surrounded by odd shoes and old crisp packets. Make sure your road trip ready by cleaning out the car and making it a lovely space to spend countless hours on your travels.

Entertainment

If you have kids on board, or even, restless adults, you will want to be armed with games and entertainment. From books to games of I Spy, make a plan as to how you’re going to spend your time in the car.

Snacks and drinks

Whether the journey is long or just a jaunt down the road, pack enough drinks and snacks for the trip. You just know that someone will be thirsty or hungry, approximately five minutes into the car journey, so it is better to be prepared with bottles of water and bananas, or crisps!
